Education System of Jamia Nizamia :
The aims and objects of Jamia Nizamia are to
educate the students of sacred knowledge in
accordance with an especially tailored traditional Dars-e-Nizami
syllabus formulated for
the Jamia Nizamia which gives . This rigorous
syllabus along with the best teachers in the
world of Islamic scholarship make Jamia Nizamia
the al-Azhar of India.
One of the salient features of the teaching
methodology is that the students have freedom to
choose and plan their studies at the Jamia.
The Educational system of Jamia is divided
into four stages.
In the
First Stage,
a child is imparted primary education from First
to the Fourth Grade. In this period a student is
taught reading and writing in the mother tongue,
recitation of the Holy Quran, basic principles
of Islam and simple mathematics, etc.
The
Second Stage
comprises of four years of Middle School
studies, i.e. from the from Fifth to Eighth
grade. During this period
Ethics , Theology , Social
studies , Arabic
and
Persian Grammar ,Tajweed (Correct intonation of
recitation of the Holy Quran) are taught.
Besides laying this strong and specialized
foundation General Mathematics , History ,
Geography and other General Sciences are also
taught.
The
Third Stage
is
the challenging and purposeful collegiate
studies based on 6 years of cirriculum which
consists of the courses prescribed for
Moulvi , Alim
, and
Fazil.
Each of which requires two years of rigorous
studies. During this stage advanced subjects in
studies of
Tafseer
( Exegesis of the Holy Quran),
Hadith
(The special studies of and related to
Prophetic Narrations) ,
Fiqh
(Islamic Jurisprudence) ,Aqaaid va Kalam
(Beliefs
and Science of Discourse) Ilm-al-Mantiq
(
Science of Logic) and Philosophy, Seerah (The
life history of our beloved Prophet sallalahu `alaihi
wa sallam) and
Arabic literature
are studied.
The
Fourth Stage
consists of two years of post graduation course.
The students, after completion of the 3rd stage,
are given admission to complete Masters degree
in any of the specialized subjects of their
choice i.e Tafseer , Hadith , Fiqh ,Philosophy
and Islamic Studies.
Admissions to the Jamia Nizamia Research
Center :-
In this facility students can conduct
specialized research work on selected subjects
of their choice under the supervision of any of
the senior Shuyukh of the Jamia. The period for
completion for Research work is fixed as 3
years.
Hifz-ul-Qur`an - The Memorizing of Quran
There is a separate facility and faculty in
Jamia Nizamia that helps students memorizing the
Holy Quran. Under meticulous guidance the
students learn how to correctly comprehend and
master the Quran and its recitation in one of
the known intonations (Tajweed) with a chain of
narration (sanad) back to the Prophet sallalahu
`alaihi wa sallam.
Admission : Deadlines and Qualifications :-
The academic year of Jamia Nizamia starts from
9th of Shawwal and ends with 15th Shaban and the
admissions are kept open up to 15th Ziqad.
1. For the 1st and 2nd stage of studies
admissions in collegiate courses are given by
conducting an eligibility test.
2. Admissions are given for completion of
collegiate courses on fulfillment of the
following conditions.
a)
For
Moulvi
course, the student seeking admission should
produce a certificate from any recognized
institution or should have passed Arabic
entrance test or test held to testify
eligibility and capacity.
b) For the
`Alim
studies those who have completed moulvi or
equivalent exam o r P.D.C in Arabic are given
admissions.
c) For the advanced
Fazil
course of study, those who have completed Alim
or its equivalent exam or B.A or B.A.L whose
optional language or second language was Arabic
or Islamic studies was his optional subject, are
given admission.
d) For further specialization, i.e the
Kamil
studies, only those who have completed
Fazil
studies from Jamia Nizamia are given admission.
3.
In the faculty of '
Hifz
'
students are given admission who can correctly
recite the Holy Quran by seeing and those who
have memorized either
Surah Baqra
or
the
30th part
of the Holy Quran.
4.
Candidates are given admission to conduct
Research work who have completed 'Kamil'
examination from this Jamia on any subject or
equivalent qualifications from other
Institutions.
